| introduction | ammonium iodate is colorless orthorhombic or monoclinic crystal or powder. Ammonium iodate is heated to 150 ℃ for decomposition, slightly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol. Ammonium iodate is a strong oxidant in acidic medium, which reacts with iodide ions to quantitatively precipitate iodine molecules. |

| synthesis method | 1, after water cooling from concentrated ammonia water, stirring and mixing while adding a small amount of iodine, heating and reacting the mixed solution, evaporating and concentrating, cooling and crystallization; Centrifugal separation and drying are prepared. It can also be prepared by metathesis reaction of barium iodate and ammonium sulfate aqueous solution. 2. Add 280mL 10% ammonia water (twice as much as theoretically required) and 600mL 3% hydrogen peroxide (excess 33%) to 100g of crushed iodine, and stir until the reaction mixture is yellow (sometimes a little more hydrogen peroxide is required). This solution is evaporated in a water bath until crystallization is precipitated. 3. Mix hydroiodic acid solution with ammonia water or ammonium carbonate aqueous solution according to stoichiometry, and evaporate the mixture until crystallization.
